A man and woman were both shot early Tuesday morning in Louisville’s California neighborhood.
Louisville Metro Police spokesperson Aaron Ellis said officers were called around 2 a.m. to South 17th and St. Catherine streets to find a woman who had been shot inside a home in the area. Officers provided First Aid until EMS and fire units arrived. She was alert and conscious.
The woman was taken to UofL Hospital for treatment, where, shortly thereafter, a man arrived by private means who had also been shot at the same location in west Louisville. Ellis said he was also alert and conscious at the hospital.
Louisville Metro Police detectives believe the shootings were connected and are working to determine the relationship between the victims. There are no known suspects in the case.
