Shively police said they have arrested three people in connection to a shooting that left an 18-year-old man dead and a woman in her late teens in the hospital.
The double shooting happened Saturday, March 8, in the 4100 block of Cheviot Drive.
Shively police said on Tuesday, 18-year-old Bri’kell Buckner and two juveniles were charged with murder, assault, trafficking a controlled substance (heroin), tampering with physical evidence, and receiving stolen property. Buckner has also been charged with unlawful transaction with a minor.
According to court documents, police were executing a search warrant when they detained Buckner and the two juveniles. When detectives searched the basement, they said they found three handguns disassembled and hidden within a wall with parts of the guns missing.
Police said they found two ounces of heroin and a stolen car during the search as well.
Buckner is expected in court Wednesday.
