A deadly crash shut down all lanes of traffic on I-165 Saturday afternoon in Warren County.
The collision happened just after 2 p.m. on the northbound side of the interstate at mile marker 14.4. It happened between two vehicles, one driven by 31-year-old Alberto Alejandro Alamo Ramos of Hialeah, Florida and the other driven by 47-year-old Ryan Rutman of Owensboro.
According to the press release, Ramos was driving in the southbound lane when his vehicle veered to the left, crossed the grass median and entered the northbound lane, hitting Rutman’s SUV.
Ramos was pronounced dead at the scene by the Warren County Coroner.
A passenger in Ramos’s vehicle and two passengers from Rutman’s car were taken to the Bowling Green Medical Center.
The Kentucky State Police was assisted at the scene by the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, Warren County EMS, the Warren County Coroner’s Office.
The investigation is ongoing by the Kentucky State Police.
