A man is dead after an officer-involved shooting in Christian County, according to the Kentucky State Police.
Early Sunday morning, the Kentucky State Police was requested by the Christian County Sheriff’s Office to investigate after a shooting happened around 12:30 a.m.
The Christian County Sheriff’s Office was responding to a physical domestic violence complaint on Clark Store Sinking Fork Road in Crofton. When officers arrived, the suspect, 39-year-old Patrick J. Martinez, began shooting at law enforcement.
Deputies returned fire and struck the suspect.
Martinez died at the scene, according to the Kentucky State Police.
