The University of Kentucky is ending its relationship with the PhD Project, according to a letter from UK President Eli Capilouto.
Last week, it was announced that UK was among a list of universities under investigation for alleged racial discrimination as part of President Donald Trump’s campaign to end DEI programs.
Most of the inquiries are focused on colleges’ partnerships with the PhD Project, a nonprofit that helps students from underrepresented groups get degrees in business with the goal of diversifying the business world.
UK’s decision also comes in the wake of the passage of House Bill 4 by Kentucky lawmakers, which would prohibit DEI in public universities.
