
A group effort of area police led to the recovery of eight stolen corvettes from the GM Assembly Plant in Bowling Green.
Bowling Green Police Department Public Information Officer, Ronnie Ward, said the individuals were attempting to move the cars out of town when they caught one of the thieves.
Deantae Walker, age 21 of Westland, Michigan was arrested Saturday and taken into custody.
He is charged with:
Receiving stolen property of $10,000 or more
Fleeing or evading police
Resisting arrest
Police are working to identify the others involved with Walker during the incident.
Walker is being held in the Warren County Regional Jail under a $10,000 cash bond.
Officers of the Bowling Green Police Department were assisted by the Warren County Sheriff’s Department.
