A woman is in the hospital with what Louisville Metro Police Department is calling life-threatening injuries after a shooting in Auburndale early Sunday morning.
Officers responded to a call of a shooting in at the Wingstop on New Cut Road around 1:15 a.m. They arrived to find a woman who had been shot in the parking lot.
Officers administered first aid until EMS could arrive and take her to UofL Hospital.
LMPD’s homicide unit is handling the investigation. A spokesperson for Louisville Metro Police Department said it is currently unknown if the woman is an employee or customer of the business and detectives are working to determine what led up to the shooting.
All parties have been accounted for.
