
Deputies with the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the 3700 block of St. John Road just after 2 a.m. Saturday (03/29) in response to a single-vehicle motor vehicle accident involving injuries.
Preliminary investigation indicates the vehicle, operated by a juvenile from Eastview, was traveling eastbound when the driver lost control. The vehicle exited the roadway on the left shoulder and rolled multiple times. The driver was ejected during the crash and sustained life-threatening injuries. They were transported from the scene to Baptist Health Hardin and later airlifted to the University of Louisville Hospital, where their condition is listed as critical.
A front-seat passenger, a juvenile from Elizabethtown, was also ejected from the vehicle and suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Two additional juvenile passengers in the rear of the vehicle sustained minor injuries and were transported to Baptist Health Hardin for treatment.
The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office Reconstruction Unit responded to the scene and is actively investigating the collision.
