A traffic stop late Monday evening resulted in the arrest of a Hopkinsville woman for drug-related charges.
On April 7, a Christian County Sheriff’s deputy conducted a traffic stop in the parking lot of the Flying J in Oak Grove. According to the sheriff’s office, the stop was initiated due to observed vehicle equipment and registration violations.
During the encounter, information gathered by the deputy led to a consensual search of the vehicle and personal property.
As a result of the investigation, suspected fentanyl was located in the driver’s door pocket.
Katherine B. Lamb, 39 of Hopkinsville, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and tampering with physical evidence.
She was lodged in the Christian County Jail under a $5,000 cash bond.
