An Elizabethtown man was arrested Friday after police said they found 17 pounds of crystal meth as well as cocaine, Oxycodone, marijuana and steroids on Bardstown Road just east of Elizabethtown.
The Hardin County Drug Enforcement Task Force said in a news release Monday that it executed a search warrant in the area Friday afternoon and arrested 48 year-old Marvin Brookins. The warrant resulted in the seizure of:
17 pounds of crystal meth
54 grams of cocaine
16 Oxycodone pills
Marijuana
Steroids
Brookins was charged with:
Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 2nd Offense Cocaine
Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense Oxycodone
Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree 2nd Offense Methamphetamine
Trafficking in Controlled Substance within 1,000 feet of school
Possession Controlled substance, 2nd degree Anabolic Steroid
Possession of Marijuana
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Brookins was lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center under a $75,000 cash bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on April 25.
The task force said Monday more suspects are expected to be charged in connection to the investigation.
