The Louisville Metro Police Department is investigating after a body was found in Beargrass Creek Friday afternoon, according to officials.
Louisville Metro Police Department spokesperson Aaron Ellis said officers responded to a report of someone finding the body near the 3400 block of Gladden Drive around 1:45 p.m.
When officers arrived, the witness told them that they had found what looked like the severely decomposed remains of a man in Beargrass Creek.
The body was taken to the Medical Examiner’s Office, and LMPD’s Homicide Unit is handling the ongoing death investigation.
