According to Louisville Metro Police Department’s Traffic Unit, a man was killed in a crash just after 11 a.m. on Friday, April 18.
The crash took place in the junction from I-65N to I-64EB to I-71NB when a motorcyclist was traveling at a high rate of speed and lost control of his vehicle and collided into the retaining wall.
The driver, identified by the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office as 26-year-old Leonardo Padua Coayo, died at the scene before he could be taken to the hospital. No other vehicles were involved. LMPD’s Traffic Unit is handling the investigation.
