Fort Knox issued what it calls a courtesy notice regarding increased noise this weekend.
In an announcement issued Friday morning, the post said increased training noise can be expected Saturday and Sunday.
The statement said military training may be louder than normal at times. Increased noise and vibrations may be experienced near the post during this period, according to the notice.
Military training exercises involving aircraft, maneuvers and weapons firing are planned in daytime and nighttime hours. The work is an important aspect of maintaining critical capabilities and readiness of all units.
