A 20 year-old man is facing several charges after the father of a 13-year-old girl found the man naked on the floor of her bedroom, according to a spokesperson for the Boone County Sheriff’s Office.
Parker D. Kramer of Louisville, Kentucky, is charged with burglary, rape and sodomy, according to Maj. Philip Ridgell.
Ridgell says Kramer told detectives that he drove from Louisville to meet the victim at her home.
The girl’s father told deputies he woke up when he heard noises coming from his daughter’s bedroom.
He said he walked into the room and found the man lying naked on the floor.
The girl’s father told the suspect he was calling the police and then went downstairs and got a handgun, according to a news release.
Maj. Ridgell said suspect ran out of the front door and the girl’s father followed him, firing three shots into the ground.
Deputies found a vehicle parked on a nearby street with no one inside.
The victim’s father positively identified the suspect after he was shown a picture from a driver’s license which was attached to the vehicle’s registration, according to Maj. Ridgell.
After a search on the ground and from the air, the suspect was located by a drone near Mt. Zion Road and I-75.
Kramer is being held in the Boone County Jail under a $250,000 cash bond.
