Multiple agencies are investigating after a woman was found deceased following a Warren County structure fire Monday (04/28).
Just before 7 p.m., the Warren County Sheriff’s Office responded to 8063 Kentucky 185 after receiving a request for assistance from the Richardsville Volunteer Fire Department.
Richardsville Volunteer Fire Department had been called to the area to respond to a structure fire, according to a release. Upon entering the building, crews discovered a deceased female inside.
Deputies responded to the scene before requesting Warren County Sheriff’s Office criminal investigators and Crime Scene Team, according to the release. Arson investigators with the Bowling Green Fire Department were requested as well.
Warren County Sheriff’s Office said the female victim was taken to the Louisville Medical Examiner’s Office on Monday night, and an autopsy was expected to be completed Tuesday morning.
In addition to Warren County Sheriff’s Office teams, the Warren County Coroner’s Office, Richardsville Fire Department, Bowling Green Fire Department investigators and Fire Marshall responded to investigate.
The investigation remains ongoing.
