A Louisville judge set bond at $500,000 full cash for the man charged after a 44-year-old man was gunned down in the Algonquin neighborhood early Sunday.
Louisville police arrested 48-year-old Jack Elliott on May 5, a day after he allegedly shot and killed 44-year-old Isaiah White in the 1600 block of Dixie Highway, near West Hill Street, around 2:45 p.m.
Investigators said White crashed his vehicle into a nearby medical office after he was shot.
Surveillance video shows Elliott interacting with, and eventually following the victim, to the parking lot before he opened fire, according to court documents. Detectives later found four spent shell casings at that location.
Police said Elliot admitted in a recorded statement that he was at the scene of the shooting.
Calling him a danger to the community, the judge set Elliott’s bond at $500,000 full cash and ordered a public defender to serve as his counsel. His next court date is scheduled for May 14. He is being held in the Louisville Metro Department of Corrections.
