The Shelby County Sheriff’s Department is investigating after a woman was found dead on I-64 on May 9.
According to the Shelby County Coroner, dispatch received several calls reporting a body lying near mile marker 26 eastbound around 9:40 p.m. When police arrived, they found 24-year-old Brianna Perry of Lexington dead in the roadway.
Police are currently conducting a death investigation.
