
A superseding indictment has charged three men with murder of a federal witness.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Western District of Kentucky, Anyelle Curtley Sr. of Louisville, Antoyne Penick of Louisville, and Delrico Nelson of Macomb, Illinois, are charged with conspiracy to tamper with a witness or informant by killing and conspiracy to retaliate against a witness or informant by killing.
The Western District of Kentucky claims between December 28 and January 31, Curtley Sr., Penick, and Nelson conspired and agreed to kill a person in retaliation for their communication with law enforcement in relation of a federal offense. Investigators allege Curtley Sr. and Nelson aided and abetted each other by killing the victim with a gun.
The Western District of Kentucky has not released more details about the murder.
This indictment supersedes an indictment from March 5, 2024, that charged Curtley Sr. and others with drug trafficking and firearms related charges. An additional indictment from that same day charged Penick and others with conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute controlled substances.
If convicted, Curtley Sr., Nelson and Penick could face up to life in prison or a death sentence.
