A jury found a Louisville man guilty of kidnapping and assault.
James Riley, 41, was also found guilty of terroristic threatening and wanton endangerment.
Court records state on December 27, 2023, a woman told police the battery in her car died on Outer Loop and she called a friend to help.
That friend brought Riley.
Court records said for hours, Riley hit the woman multiple times in the face while inside the car, stabbed her in the back with a knife and used a tire iron to beat her.
The woman eventually escaped by jumping out of the car on Interstate 264.
Riley is scheduled to be sentenced on June 25. The jury is recommending a sentence of nearly half a century behind bars.
