
FEMA announced Saturday they opened a new disaster recovery center in Grayson County to support storm victims from the severe storms last month.
The new center is located at 125 E. White Oak Street in Leitchfield at the Fiscal Courthouse.
FEMA representatives will be available to help residents understand available assistance programs, how to apply for FEMA assistance and connect survivors with resources for their recovery needs.
The hours of operation will be from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Sundays.
When applying for FEMA assistance, you will need to provide the following:
A current phone number where you can be contacted.
Your address at the time of the disaster and the address where you are now staying.
Your Social Security Number.
A general list of damage and losses.
Banking information if you choose direct deposit.
If insured, the policy number or the agent and/or the company name.
