A one vehicle accident claimed the life of an infant in Barren County on Monday (05/19), according to the Kentucky State Police.
A preliminary investigation indicates that a 2015 Honda Odyssey was traveling westbound in the 1100 block of Bluff Springs Road around noon when it veered off the roadway to the right, colliding with a wooden fence and a tree line.
Two passengers were transported to T.J. Samson Community Hospital where they will be treated for their injuries but an infant passenger was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Barren County Coroner’s Office.
Kentucky State Police was assisted at the scene by the Barren County Sheriff’s Office, Barren County EMS and the Barren County Coroner’s Office.
The accident remains under investigation by the Kentucky State Police.
