Attorneys have dismissed a lawsuit challenging Kentucky’s two abortion bans.
The lawsuit, Mary Poe v. Russell Coleman, claimed the bans violated Kentucky’s constitutional rights to privacy and self-determination.
The ACLU of Kentucky says that because decisions about healthcare are and should remain private, they will not be releasing details about the dismissal.
In response to the dismissal, Attorney General Russell Coleman said, “Kentuckians can be proud that our pro-life values won the day, and innocent lives will continue to be saved as a result.”
