Two juveniles are in the hospital after a shooting in the Russell neighborhood Friday evening, according to the Louisville Metro Police Department.
LMPD spokesperson Dwight Mitchell said officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 1500 block of West Chestnut Street around 5:30 p.m.
When officers arrived, they found two juveniles who had been shot. Both girls were taken to UofL Hospital for treatment and are expected to survive, according to Mitchell.
LMPD’s Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is handling the ongoing investigation. There are no suspects at this time.
