Kentucky State Police responded to a single-vehicle collision that resulted in a fatality Saturday (06/14) afternoon near the 9000 block of KY-210 east of Hodgenville in LaRue County.
The preliminary investigation revealed a 17-year-old juvenile of Campbellsville was operating a 2012 Infiniti eastbound on KY-210 when, for unknown reasons, the vehicle exited the roadway before striking a guardrail, causing the car to overturn several times. The 17-year-old was pronounced deceased at the scene by the LaRue County Coroner’s Office. An adult and two juvenile passengers were transported to Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The affected portion of KY-210 was closed for several hours to allow troopers to reconstruct the collision. Kentucky State Police was assisted at the scene by the LaRue County Sheriff’s Office, LaRue County EMS and the LaRue County Coroner’s Office.
The collision remains under investigation by the Kentucky State Police.
