A man is dead after a crash in Hardin County on Monday, June 16.
According to the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened around 4:40 p.m. in the 2600 block of Hardinsburg Road in Cecilia. They say their initial investigation showed 47-year-old Joseph Poddom of Eastview was heading west on the road when he tried to pass another car. As he was trying to pass, the car began to make a left turn, and his motorcycle crashed into the vehicle.
Poddom was taken to Baptist Health Hardin, where he later died. The driver of the car was also taken to the hospital and is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation by the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office.
