
A man has been arrested after breaking into his ex-girlfriend’s home and assaulting her.
On Saturday, June 22, Louisville Metro Police responded to a call at Thornton’s on South 3rd Street of a female victim of domestic violence who had fled her home.
The victim informed officers that her ex-boyfriend, 27 year-old Alex Benjamin Ramirez-Barillas, had entered her home through an unlocked door and attacked her.
Officers accompanied the victim back to her home, where they found Ramirez-Barillas, who then attempted to flee from the scene on foot. Louisville Metro Police pursued and arrested the suspect.
Ramirez-Barllas is charged with burglary, robbery, strangulation, assault, and fleeing on foot.
He was lodged in the Louisville Metro Department of Corrections.
