A 26-year-old alleged carjacking suspect was arrested Tuesday after Louisville police said he led them on a chase.
Matthew Sanders, a spokesperson for Louisville Metro Police, said a man was carjacked around 3 p.m. in the 400 block of West Main Street in downtown Louisville.
According to police, Briylon Tyson was allegedly armed with a gun and stole a black work truck.
Officers located the truck shortly after the carjacking and attempted a traffic stop, but Tyson fled and it began a vehicle pursuit.
Police said Tyson eventually got stuck in an alley near Dr. W. J. Hodge Street after leading officers through west Louisville.
After fleeing on foot, Tyson was arrested shortly afterward. He was booked into Metro Corrections and has been charged with robbery, reckless driving, leaving scene of accident-failure to render aid or assistance, fleeing or evading police on foot and in a motor vehicle, buying/possessing drug paraphernalia and criminal mischief.
