An 18 year-old has been charged after three teens were shot in Valley Station Tuesday afternoon.
Police said around 4:10 p.m., officers were called to an apartment complex in the 10100 block of Laurent Way. There, they found a 17-year-old boy who had been shot in the head. He was taken to UofL Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Police said another victim walked up to officers while they were on scene of the shooting. The boy, also 17 years old, had been shot in the leg and was taken to UofL Hospital.
At the same time, Louisville Metro Police Department said officers responded to St. Mary’s on the report of a walk-in patient who had been shot in the arm. They believe the 18-year-old man was also injured in the Laurent Way shooting.
After gathering evidence and conducting multiple interviews, Louisville Metro Police Department said the 18-year-old, Jeremiah Robinson, will be charged with the murder of the teen who died. He will be in court Thursday, September 4.
Louisville Metro Police Department said the investigation is still open and active as it works to piece together more information about the incident. Anyone with information is asked to call LMPD’s anonymous tip line at (502)574-LMPD (5673) or use LMPD’s online Crime Tip Portal.
