A man has died following an early Saturday shooting in Louisville’s Newburg neighborhood.
The reported incident happened around 4 a.m. in the 5500 block of Lodema Way, according to Louisville Metro Police.
Officers found a man, identified as 48-year-old Mitchael Groves, inside an apartment suffering from a gunshot wound.
EMS arrived a short time after and declared Groves dead.
Police have not revealed a motive in the shooting but said all parties involved in the incident were accounted for.
The Homicide Unit is handling the investigation.
