Firefighters were able to quickly gain control of a fire that produced heavy black smoke in an industrial area near Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport Tuesday afternoon.
Fire crews were called to a business in the 6300 block of Strawberry Lane in the Southland Park neighborhood around 1:05 p.m. The first arriving crews found fire on a docking bay at BLC Industries. The facility manufactures air filtration equipment.
Firefighters set up a defensive operation and were able to gain control of the fire. No injuries have been reported. A Louisville Fire Department spokesperson says all occupants of the business have been accounted for.
Investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
