Madisonville Police Department officials say two people were arrested on drug charges Wednesday at Kroger.
According to a police report, officers were dispatched to Kroger where they found a man, later identified as 38 year-old Andrew Gamblin of Madisonville, they believed to be under the influence of marijuana.
Officials say he later admitted to smoking marijuana within the hour.
After placing Gamblin under arrest, officers searched him and the backpack he was wearing, they found several amounts of drugs and pills, including methamphetamine.
Officers also arrested 41 year-old Matthew Waddle, of Madisonville, the same night at Kroger on drug charges.
Police say he had slurred speech, bloodshot eyes, and was sweating.
They found multiple types of drugs and paraphernalia on Waddle.
Gamblin and Waddle were both arrested and booked into the Hopkins County Jail and are scheduled to appear in court on October 17.
Police have not released a statement saying if the two drug arrests were releated.

Possession of a Controlled Substance
Drug Paraphernalia
Trafficking a Controlled Substance (2 Counts)
Controlled Substance not Properly Contained
Gamblin faces the following charges:
Trafficking Marijuana
Trafficking a Controlled Substance
Possession of a Controlled Substance
Public Intoxication
Failure to Surrender Revoked Operators License
Drug Paraphernalia
