A section of I-65 in Bullitt County, north of Shepherdsville, is scheduled for temporary rolling roadblocks on Sunday, October 19, weather permitting.
I-65 North and South will have rolling roadblocks in both directions (near mile point 119), which is south of the I-265 (Gene Snyder Freeway) interchange and north of the N. Preston Highway overpass from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. to allow LG&E and KU crews to work on overhead electric transmission lines. This work is part of necessary, ongoing system enhancements and hardening projects designed to further defend against stronger storms, support increased energy needs and improve customers’ service in the area.
Rolling roadblock information:
Police and construction vehicles will move at a slow rate of speed (approximately 10 mph) to control traffic throughout the area and work zone.
These will start southbound at mile point 121 and northbound at mile point 116.
The rolling roadblocks will occur intermittently throughout the day from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., weather permitting.
Please expect delays or take alternate route.
