A Bowling Green man has been arrested after a physical altercation turned deadly.
According to the uniform citation, a Bowling Green police officer was flagged down by multiple people on the 100 block of St. Charles Street at a business. The officer observed a man on the ground seizing. The officer assisted the man until he was transported to the hospital by EMS.
Witnesses confirmed that 25 year-old Jarred Brown of Bowling Green was involved in an altercation with the victim, Anthony Santiago. A witness who captured the video, showed the police the altercation between the two men.
The officer later made contact with Brown, who admitted to having an altercation with Santiago. The victim later passed away from his injuries.
Brown has since been charged with first-degree manslaughter.
He originally faced second-degree assault and alcohol intoxication in a public place (1st and 2nd offense).
He is being held n the Warren County Regional Jail under a $250,000 cash bond and scheduled to appear in court on October 24.
