A Clark County man has been arrested following an undercover investigation into the distribution of child sexual abuse material, according to Kentucky State Police.
Kentucky State Police said 21-year-old James Matthew Calvert was taken into custody Monday evening after an Internet Crimes Against Children investigation revealed he was sharing exploitative images online.
Troopers executed a search warrant at a residence in Winchester on October 20, seizing electronic equipment believed to have been used in the crimes. The items were sent to the Kentucky State Police’s forensic lab for examination.
Calvert is charged with 20 counts of distributing matter portraying a minor in a sexual performance, which are Class B felonies punishable by 10 to 20 years in prison.
He was booked into the Clark County Detention Center. The investigation remains ongoing.
