Police arrested a 51 year-old Bowling Green man reportedly caught trying to steal copper wire from under a bridge.
According to the arrest citation, an officer was checking on an abandoned car Thursday afternoon when they noticed a path leading under the bridge near Highway 185 and Old Richardsville Road.
James Bledsoe was found under the bridge with another man dragging a long telephone wire.
When an officer told Bledsoe to stop, he tried to walk away, and an officer used a taser to stop him.
Bledsoe told police he planned to strip the wire for copper.
An AT&T worker estimated the damage and repair costs to be over $1,000, according to court records.
Bledsoe is facing several charges including trespassing on key infrastructure, criminal mischief, possessing burglary tools, fleeing from police and theft.
He is being held in the Warren County Regional Jail under a $6,000 cash bond and is scheduled to appear in court on October 29.
