A house fire in east Louisville displaced two people on Friday.
According to Anchorage Middletown Fire & EMS, first responders reported to a call at around 8 p.m. of a residential fire in the 3100 block of Stonebridge Road on Friday, October 24.
At the scene, firefighters found a two-story home with fire coming through the roof in the center of the house.
Crews used a large caliber hose line to knock down the main body of the fire before making entry into the home and containing the fire to prevent it from spreading to neighboring houses.
Two adults had exited the home before crews arrived and did not suffer any injuries.
The home suffered extensive fire damage, forcing the two residents to temporarily stay elsewhere.
In total, 30 firefighters helped control the fire in 48 minutes.
An investigation found the fire was caused accidentally due to a fire chimney malfunction.
