
A man and a woman are recovering after they were shot early Thursday morning in a wooded area in southwest Louisville.
Just before 1 a.m., Louisville Metro police responded to a shooting in the 3000 block of Fordhaven Road near Pleasure Ridge Park, according to a Louisville Metro Police Department news release.
Once on scene, officers were told that two people were shot in a wooded area near this location.
Officers found two adults, a man suffering from what appeared to be a graze wound to his chest and a woman who had a gunshot wound to her leg.
Officers then rendered first aid until EMS could arrive. Once on scene, EMS transported both victims to UofL Hospital where authorities say they expect them to survive.
LMPD’s Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is leading the investigation. There are currently no known suspects.
