
The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office says three Owensboro people were arrested for having a psilocybin mushroom growing operation in their home.
Deputies were helping with a probation home visit in the 2400 block of Saint Ann Street in Owensboro on Monday.
They say illegal controlled substances were seen, and after executing a search warrant, they found the grown operation in the basement.
According to deputies, spores, seeds, grown mushrooms, gummies packaging, and other items used to process, package, and distribute illegal mushrooms were found in the home.
Officials say five boxes of finished mushrooms were located in a child’s bedroom.
A Kentucky State Police hazardous materials unit responded to conduct the cleanup.
Deputies arrested 21-year-old Jacob Allen, 23-year-old Karlee Allen, and 41-year-old Bradley Rone.
Jacob Allen is charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance (Hallucinogen); Possession of a Controlled Substance (Hallucinogen); Wanton Endangerment and Possession Drug Paraphernalia. He is being held in the Daviess County Detention Center under a $15,000 cash bond and is scheduled to appear in court on December 8.
Karlee Allen is charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance (Hallucinogen); Wanton Endangerment and Possession Drug Paraphernalia. She is being held in the Daviess County Detention Center under a $5,000 cash bond and is scheduled to appear in court on November 26.
Bradley Rone is charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance (Hallucinogen); Wanton Endangerment and Possession Drug Paraphernalia. He is being held in the Daviess County Detention Center under a $5,000 cash bond and scheduled to appear in court on November 26.
