Kentucky State Police will offer its annual Trooper Teddy sale from November 27 to Dececember 2, continuing a program that has provided comfort to thousands of children during scary or traumatic events since 1989.
The teddy bears serve as more than holiday fundraisers for the department. Officers use them as tools to ease children’s fear during scary or overwhelming situations.
Since the program began, thousands of children have received a Trooper Teddy during crashes, domestic calls, or traumatic events. Officers say the small gesture can make a lasting difference.
The personal connection and impact have kept the program running for decades. Every purchase helps put a teddy bear into the hands of a child during a crisis.
Teddy bears are available for $20 at kentuckystatepolice.ky.gov.
