A man was taken into custody following a Friday night pursuit from Breckinridge into Hancock County.
Hardinsburg Police were pursuing a suspect in a gold pickup truck just before 10 p.m. Friday into Hancock County. Law enforcement from both counties pursued the vehicle to near the intersection of Kentucky 1389 and Tom Bolin Road west of Hawesville.
The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office said after becoming stuck over an embankment, the truck’s driver refused verbal commands and struck police vehicles before becoming lodged on top of a patrol car. The driver exited the vehicle and tried to flee on foot but was taken into custody.
No officers were injured during the incident which remains under investigation.
