A man is dead after being shot in Louisville’s Park Hill neighborhood Saturday night.
According to Louisville Metro Police, at 9:30 p.m., second division officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 1300 block of Dixie Highway. Upon arrival, officers found 53-year-old Anthony Beals down in a parking lot outside of a business suffering from gunshot wounds.
Officers attempted to render first aid until EMS and Louisville Fire arrived. EMS transported Beals to University of Louisville hospital, where his injuries were deemed critical.
Beals died at the hospital early Sunday morning. LMPD’s Homicide unit as taken control of the investigation.
At this time, there are no known suspects.
