Kentucky State Police are investigating a vehicle accident in Boyle County that resulted in the death of one man.
Kentucky State Police troopers responded to reports of a vehicle accident on Shakertown Road in Boyle County just before 11 a.m. Sunday, January 18.
Troopers determined a 2004 Mercury Gran Marquis was travelling south on Shakertown Road when two wheels veered off the road. The driver, 55 year-old Hector Sanchez of Burgin, Kentucky, tried to moved back onto the road when he entered the opposite lane.
Sanchez then struck a 2000 Silverado, 67 year-old driven by Ernest Robinson, going north.
As a result of the accident, Sanchez was pronounced dead by the Boyle County Coroner’s office. Robinson was transported to University of Kentucky hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
