A federal judge granted a trial delay for the man tied to the overdose deaths of two Kentucky women.
Brian Epperson’s attorneys asked for at least a three-month delay for the trial that was scheduled to start February 2. The attorneys said they need extra time to review the evidence and prepare for the trial.
Epperson pleaded not guilty to the deaths of Kristen Morris and Reacheal Dawson in May and July of 2025.
Winchester police said they found Dawson’s body inside a motel room that Epperson had rented after she had been reported missing out of Irvine.
In a separate incident, police said Morris was found dead inside a short-term rental. Authorities later reported finding similar capsules in a vehicle connected to Epperson, which they believe links the two cases.
Epperson remains jailed on a $1 million cash bond. He is due back in court for a pre-trial conference on March 18, according to court documents.
