Stephen Edward Adams, age 78 of Muldraugh, passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2026, in Elizabethtown.
He was born on August 22, 1947 to the late Billie Jean Caudill Self and James Edward Adams. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Adams; brothers, Timothy W. Adams, Don Adams, and Wayne Maggard; sisters, Sherry Shuck and Linda Step; son, Timothy Adams; and three grandsons.
He is survived by…
Two children: Dennis Adams of Nelson County and Gregory Adams of Brandenburg;
Two sisters: Tammy Holbrook and Lisa Becker;
Two brothers: Raymond Self and Mark Adams;
Nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at the Bruington-Jenkin-Sturgeon Funeral Home in Brandenburg on Friday, February 5, 2026, at 11 a.m. He will be buried in the Louisville Memorial Gardens West Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. EST and after 9 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
