
A man has been arrested after a brief standoff with Glasgow Police officers on Sunday.
According to Major Terry Flatt with Glasgow Police Department, officers stopped a vehicle in the Big Lots parking lot.
The vehicle was believed to be involved in a hit-and-run and a brief pursuit that took place earlier.
The suspect refused to follow officer commands, leading officers to fire “less than lethal rounds” into the car window.
The suspect was then taken into custody and transported to T J Samson Regional Hospital for medical clearance.
Once the medical clearance was complete, the suspect was lodged at the Barren County Detention Center.
The Glasgow Police Department was assisted by the Barren County Sheriff Department and Barren/ Metcalfe EMS.
