
Kentucky State Police is investigating an officer-involved shooting that happened in Frankfort just before 6 p.m. Saturday.
Kentucky State Police said Frankfort Police officers and Franklin County Sheriff’s Office deputies were responding to a shots fired call at a home on Ridgeview Drive when the shooting happened.
While at the home, officers encountered 56 year-old Bryan Radford, of Hopkinsville.
Kentucky State Police said Radford went in the home and came back out with a handgun before officers fatally shot Radford.
First aid was attempted, but Radford ultimately died from his injuries.
No officers were injured during the incident.
This is an ongoing investigation.
