Louisville police say no charges are currently expected to be filed after a shooting Saturday morning in southern Jefferson County.
Louisville Metro Police Department said around 1:40 a.m., officers were called to the 5800 block of Larkgrove Drive, where they found a woman who had been shot in the arm. She was taken to UofL Hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening. Police said the suspect remained at the scene.
According to police, the victim reported that her car had broken down in front of the suspect’s house. That led to an argument, which escalated, and the suspect fired shots, which hit the victim.
Police said the suspect gave officers a mirandized statement and was released.
The Commonwealth Attorney’s Office is reviewing the case, and Louisville Metro Police Department is handling the investigation.
