Troopers with the Kentucky State Police, Post 16 in Henderson, arrested a Daviess County man on February 16, 2026, following an investigation into allegations involving a juvenile.
At approximately 7:35 p.m., troopers arrested 40 year-old David A. Rodgers, of Utica, after an investigation revealed he engaged in a sexual relationship with a juvenile through a position of special trust.
Rodgers was charged with:
Rape, 3rd Degree
Sodomy, 2nd Degree – Position of Authority
Sexual Abuse, 1st Degree
Procuring or Promoting Use of a Minor by Electronic Means
Possession of Matter Portraying Sexual Performance by a Minor Under 12
Rodgers was lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center in Owensboro. The investigation is on-going by Kentucky State Police detectives.
