Local area fire departments were called to several reports of field fires over the weekend.
No major damage or injuries were reported across Meade, Breckinridge, and Hardin Counties as a result of the field fires. Fire officials remind citizens that the State Spring Fire Hazard Season remains in place until April 30 making it illegal for out door burning within 150 feet of woodland or brushland areas between the hours of 6 AM until 6 PM. Violators could face fines or arrest.
