Kentucky’s annual statewide tornado drill this year will take place Wednesday, March 4th at 10:07 AM.
This is an opportunity for families to practice their tornado safety plan, whether you are at home, school, or work. If there is a threat of severe weather at the scheduled time, the drill will be postponed to a fair-weather day. Keep in mind: the tornado drill will activate the Emergency Alert System, including your NOAA Weather Radio, local TV and radio stations, and the cable override.
The tornado drill may set off the outdoor warning sirens. The drill is part of Severe Weather Awareness Week.
